Mrs. Nickie Toups’s 6th graders had a blast playing a game of “Taxation Without Representation”! Student role-played the characters of the British King, tax collectors and colonists to learn the process, reality, and unfairness of the British rule over the Colonies. Students had to pay their debt with Candy Money in order to pay their tax and keep their possessions to avoid arrest!
