Dear Parents and Students,
We are looking forward to another outstanding school year. Student’s first day will be Thursday, August 10, 2023. Please take time to review this important information.
- New student registration will be held on July 28th from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
- Mandatory Orientation- Student Orientations held in the EMS GYM. Parents do not need to attend with 7th and 8th grade students. Parents of 6th grade students must attend orientation with their student.

NO MONEY WILL BE COLLECTED AT ORIENTATION!!! The following dates the front office will be open from 7:30-1:30 for parents to PAY STUDENT FEES, PE UNIFORMS( sizing of uniforms will take place in student’s PE class) and Drop off uniform t-shirt orders.
May 30th - June 6th
and
July 28th - August 1st
SEPARATE CHECKS MUST BE MADE FOR FEES AND UNIFORM T-SHIRTS!!!!! Checks must be made out to Erath Middle School. Please write your child’s name on the bottom of the check. Thank you!
- Planner and ID/lanyard/pouch- $20.00
- PE uniforms- Shirt $15 Short $15
- Uniform t-shirts- purchased amount
- Students will pick up their 2023-2024 academic schedules at ORIENTATION!!!!!!
- All ID AND PLANNER FEES must be paid prior to the start of school. (If you need assistance with this please call Ms. Primeaux at 937-4441 beginning August 3rd)
- EMS PE Uniforms are Mandatory. Each student must purchase a PE uniform. If the uniform from last year still fits your child can use it for this year.
- 6th grade students must provide a completed domicile form in addition to an electric bill and one other proof of residency, (Filed Homestead Exemption Application Form, Apartment or house lease receipt or documentation providing ownership, Water bill, or Gas bill)
- EMS PTO/SIC Spirit Shirts will be ready for pick up if you placed your order before JUNE 6, 2023.
- Students can ONLY wear the 2023-2024 shirts in lieu of uniform shirts Monday-Friday with uniform bottoms. Order forms were sent home with students prior to the end of school and have been posted on the school website. Additional orders will be taken at orientation and the second order will be placed after SEPTEMBER 1st.
